Day of Action - January 13th
Starting next week, senators, representatives, lobbyists, citizens & all the fresh-faced legislative aides will begin their daily trek to Oregon's capitol.
It must be time for the 2009 legislative session. Join the Oregon Conservation Network's Environmental Day of Action on January 13th, the second day of session, where we will come together as conservationists to build excitement and momentum around our 2009 Priorities for a Healthy Oregon.
The Environmental Day of Action will include:
- Morning session highlighting the political and environmental lay of the land
- Information from policy experts on the six Priorities for a Healthy Oregon
- Special guest Attorney General John Kroger
- Clean Energy Rally on the capitol steps from 11am -1pm
- Citizen trainings to prepare you to help influence the legislative process
- Issue specific breakout sessions, led by priority experts, with specific information on how you can get involved
Our elected officials have the responsibility to protect those things that keep Oregon a special place for our families to call home − our air, water, forests, farmland, oceans, rivers, fish and wildlife.
Our responsibility is to join in a show of force to remind them who they are fighting for.
