How to vote on Oregon's State Ballot Measures
As usual, there are some controversial ballot measures to vote on this November. Many of these measures will derail funding to protect Oregon. I urge NO votes on
Measures 59, 61, 62, 63, and 64 and a YES vote on Measure 56.
Vote NO on Measure 64, Silencing our voice, unclear, unfair and unnecessary
Vote NO on Measure 63, Unsafe Homes, Overriding Local Environmental Laws
Vote NO on 62, Diverting Lottery Funds, Harming Environmental Programs
Vote NO on Measure 61, Sentencing Gimmick Would Reduce Environmental Funding
Vote NO on Measure 59, Sizemore's Latest Would Gut Natural Resource Funding
Vote YES on Measure 56, because every vote should count equally.

Thanks for the info. I agree on all of them.
One thing that concerns me, and that I haven't seen addressed on this blog or on your main website, is OLCV's endorsement of Ben Westlund. Just 2 years ago OLCV wrote: "Senator Ben Westlund has a lifetime environmental score of 15% - ummmm that's failing."
Sure is. Then why in the heck is OLCV endorsing him? Just because he's changed his spots (and the letter after his name) over the last year? Not that the other two candidates are likely to be pro-environment, but OLCV's endorsement of Westlund is really making me question your organization's integrity. Are you just an extension of the Democratic Party?

Thanks for your post Jack.
You're right. Westlund wasn't always strong on the environment. He scored 42% on OLCV's 2005 Scorecard for the Legisalture (an improvement from 0% in 2003) and was actually named OLCV Consensus Builder of the Year in the 2005 Scorecard for his efforts.
In the 2007 legislative session, he was one of only four Senators to score a 100%.
You can learn more about his environmental record here:http://www.olcv.org/accountability/2007legislativescorecard/2007Senate/benwestlund
and his plans for Oregon's environment if elected Treasurer here:http://www.benwestlund.com/issues_environment.php
