Carla Piluso (OLCV endorsed candidate for Multnomah County Commissioner)

Carla_piluso_with_her_daughter_whenI have lived in East County for over thrity years.  This is my home: where I live, work and care for my family and friends. It is important for me to make this community, my home, the safest and healthiest place it can be; not only for my family but for the hundreds on new families that will be moving into the area over the next several years.

East Multnomah County is one of the fastest growing regions in the state. This presents many challenges to our air, water and open spaces. I believe I can be the leader we need in East County to work hard on making this growth as green and sustainable as possible. We can accomplish this by working closely with local, county, and state governments. Currently, Multnomah County does little to encourage environmentally friendly development in our community. I will make sure that the proper incentives are put in place to make our county an example of what the community can do when we work together.

I believe that we must make it a priority to plan responsibly and improve East County for our future generations. We must think about our environment and our economy in new ways. We are only starting to catch a glimpse of what is to come with gas reaching four dollars a gallon. We can rethink what it means to develop and grow and begin to focus on regional sustainability, green power, river and forest conservation and better planning in our community today so that we leave a better future for our children tomorrow. I value our environment and will work hard to protect East County so that we can be proud of the beautiful legacy we leave to our children.

I hope you'll vote for me, Carla Piluso for Multnomah County Commissioner.

Wouldn't it be amazing to have a commissioner that actually does something? Go Carla! I'm so glad you are running.

I really like Carla. I met her a couple weeks ago and she was so exciting.

She is so passionate about what she does. I am voting for her because I am sure she will carry this passion into office.
