Molalla Politicians take Page from Rove's Playbook

There's a river that's dividing the little Clackamas County cow town of Molalla.

The City's politicians are attempting to build a new sewage plant, which will discharge into the Molalla River - one of the State's cleanest rivers. Citizens, who are working to protect the River have a ballot measure that will prevent the city from discharging into the Molalla River. As you can imagine, the politicians aren't too pleased.

The issue has become quite heated and very contentious, with a looming September 19th Special Election right around the corner. As can only be expected, the Molalla politicians have put up signs misleading the public about costs, alternatives and money.

But earlier this week, the politicians sunk to a new level.  A fake voters pamphlet landed on the doorsteps of Molalla voters, which is designed to appear to come from the Clackamas County Elections office. The fake pamphlet tells voters to oppose the measure. Check it out the news brief on Oregonlive.com:

Apparently Molalla Politicians have taken a page from Rove's playbook.
