Saxton Calls Renewable Energy a "Gimmick"

Our kids are fighting and dying in a war over oil in Iraq.  Gas prices have consistently been approaching (and sometimes over) the $3 mark. Our global climate temperature is increasing at an unprecedented rate because of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in our atmosphere.

And Ron Saxton thinks that technologies used to produce alternative energy, such as wind and solar are a bunch of gimmicks. (Register Guard, 8/28/2006 read the story and Saxton's ridiculous quote here.)

Who is Ron Saxton and has he not been watching what is happening in our world?Saxton

How completely short-sighted and arrogant is he to assume that we can sit back, drive our gas-guzzlers, sit in our air conditioning and expect the problems of the world to be fixed in the market place.

Wake up Ron Saxton. Our communities are at stake here!

Reguarding Ron Saxton. I might have been interested in listening to him, but his attack ads smack of Bush tactics and I view Bush as the worst disaster to ever hit The UNITED STATES.
