The Oregon League of Conservation Voters is a non-partisan organization with a simple mission: to educate voters about how their elected officials vote on the environment and to hold those elected officials accountable.
OLCV was founded in 1972. We're led by a volunteer board of directors and have more than 3,000 members across the state.
Holding Politicians Accountable: OLCV leads the fight to protect the environment in the state legislature, coordinating the Oregon Conservation Network, a statewide coalition of environmental groups that promotes environmental protection in the Legislature. Our local chapters engage in similar efforts with city councilors and county commissioners. Educating Voters: OLCV publishes a Legislative Scorecard that rates individual legislators' voting records on conservation issues. Electing Pro-environment Leaders: OLCV works to elect pro-environment candidates. OLCV's Political Action Committee and local county chapters issue endorsements. Then, we support those endorsed candidates facing tough contests with two crucial resources: money and volunteers.
